For anyone who thinks that supersized chunky platforms are to “kiddie” or “only for people who want to look like Clydesdales” here’s a slap in the face from shoedish (a friendly slap in the face, of course). Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 6 months you know that “chunky” and “platform” are sooooo in. Age is no excuse; if you find the right kind of shoe, a platorm can work on almost anyone. From designer to shoes for mass consumption, platforms are in. We love this milk chocolate brown platform mary jane from Guess. This is what shoedish likes to call the modern ‘classic’ platform. In other words, everyone should own a pair. Think of them as your little black/brown/blue/(insert favorite color cocktail dress here) dress of shoes.

And the celebrity shoe star is…new mommy, old hollywood glamour kitten, and music mogul, Christina Aguilera. We heard a little rumor that she was mean, but we don’t care, she can sing like a diva so she might as well act like one, right?
