rainbow raffia pumps from report signature

We’re still angry about Paris Hilton Footwear, but these shoes make us feel a little bit better. Thank God for the power of shoes! What would we do without our mates? These pretty rainbow raffia peep-toe pumps are too much sugar sweet sunshine for words. We don’t have a Macy’s out here, so we’re gonna need Mama Dish to buy these for us; early Birthday gift? This is one of those shoes that gives us the itch. Most of the time we’re pretty good at talking ourselves down, but if we could take the N,R,W up to 34th Street right now, we would go buy these shoes. Alcoholics turn to vodka in times of turmoil, shoeaholics buy shoes. I guess we’re a little bit more upset about P. Hilton than we thought. Whah!

paris hilton footwear?

This will make everyone tremendously happy. If you’re having a really good day, please take our word for it and don’t continue reading. I don’t get it? How does being a celebrity qualify you for shoe design…or any designing for that matter? Some very creative and talented people go to school for years for just the chance to work at the very bottom ranks of a design team and only the very driven make it anywhere after that. Celebritism has gone too far when Paris Hilton has her own line of shoes. She probably didn’t even have a hand in the creations, but it still peeves shoedish! I could design some really great shoes, but I’ll never get the opportunity. Puke! My day has been ruined!

‘opinions please’ friday: diadora vs skechers, trademark infringement

Diadora Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Skechers USA Inc. for alleged trademark infringement. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Seattle on Feb. 12, and accuses Skechers of manufacturing a line of sneakers, the Luger-Strafe, that infringe on the Diadora logo, which Diadora has had a registered trademark on since 1985. According to FN, the filing includes a statement from Diadora that claims, “Skechers deliberately employs a mark substantially identical to the Diadora logo, with knowledge of Diadora’s long prior use, to mislead and confuse consumers into believing that Skechers’ goods are provided, sponsored or approved by Diadora and to intentionally profit from Diadora’s goodwill.” The shoe in question is pictured on the left and the Diadora logo on the right. Guess there is just as much lying and manipulating is shoe manufacturing and marketing as there is in everyday politics. We’ll try not to worry our precious peds with that nonsense, though, shoes are the only untainted thing we have left and we’re holding on to that for dear life. We think it was just a curious accident. Whoops! Opinions?
