It’s BOGO time again at our favorite bargain basement shoe retailer and these pretty banana yellow pumps are begging to be included in your by one, get one shoe parade at Payless. What better time to buy? If you need a reason besides 50% off shoes than think about your Easter preparations - every girl needs a new pair of shoes for Easter - or what about that wedding/baby shower you have coming up, and spring is just around the corner, so it’s time to say bye to brown and black boots and get ready for summer espadrilles, sandals, and color. Do you need more? We’ll just have to go back to our original argument…50% off shoes! Remember that leading shoe designers, Alice + Olivia, Abaete, and Lela Rose are all included in the BOGO discount. While you’re there, don’t forget to enter the ‘I Love Shoes’ Instant Giveaway.

Who watched the 80th Annual Academy Awards ’shoe’ last night? Shoedish didn’t have the luxury, but we’re happy as clams looking at all the photos. There were some pretty pretty shoes out there last night. We only have one question; why does everyone have to cover them with super long dresses? Uh, if you wear a shorter dress than everyone can see your $1,000 shoes. What’s the point in wearing pretty shoes if you can’t show them off. Who cares about the dress? No, really? You might as well wear flats. We had a few happy peeps at some Christian Louboutin walking the red; Cameron Diaz and Renee Zellweger both wore the designer.

Juno screenwriter, Diablo Cody, wore these 40s-esque metallic t-strap pumps, featuring two Kwiat diamond roses, to the 80th annual Academy Awards ceremony last night. These retro-inspired pumps give a whole new meaning to “million dollar shoes” because they literally are worth a million dollars. Over 1,800 Kwiat diamonds, weighing 100 carats, were used to make the roses and 400 of them have been incorporated into the design of the shoes. The Oscar winner for best screenplay changed into a pair of ballerina flats with a similar rose design for the after parties. Both shoes were designed by shoe mogul extraordinaire, Stuart Weitzman.
