Just when shoedish thought she was running out of ways to convince people of the benefits of wearing high heels something like this comes along. A new study conducted by Maria Cerruto, a urologist at the University of Verona in Italy, says that tests she has conducted have found that “wearing a pair of moderately high heels could tone the body, condition muscles, and even improve a woman’s sex life without the need for onerous exercise sessions.” Call me crazy, but there is no better reason than this. I am now convinced that my shoe nazi efforts have come full circle. Great shoes and better sex; it doesn’t get any better than that. Just in case you need to restock your stiletto collection, here are a number of options. Sexy spring color trend brought to you by Delias, sky-high stilettos from Alexandra Neel, and maybe even a little comfort courtesy of Alfani; the study did say “moderate” high heels.

Last year, Aldo introduced the woven peep-toe with a few colorful editions similar to these. They were pushing the $100 range, but they were very cute, fun, and flirty. Now that woven has taken center stage for the new season, we thought it was time to start looking for some cheap woven options. Not all of us girlies can afford Stella McCartney, but we can certainly afford these pretty red peeps from Zimbio. Jeepers creepers peepers!!

To wedge or not to wedge? That is the question. And shoedish has the answer. When it comes to wedges, they can seem sort of monotonous. A wedge has a sloped sole similar to a slide with a completely solid base. Wedges are sometimes covered in rope (espadrille) and usually decorated with some sort of natural material or leather straps. Blah! Blah! What? Should shoedish be shot? How dare I go against the very fiber of my being and be bored by a pair of shoes, right? Calm down, let me explain. Here’s a pair of wedges that give wedging a whole new meaning. Here’s to designers who define the very essence of design; unique accountability. These pretty thrush peep-toe wedges from Anthropologie are a modern reinterpretation of the classic oxford; a wedge that is far overdo. We welcome you nuevo wedge, with open arms.
