A recent study performed by Mindset Profile™, an online ad network that enables brand advertisers to reach millions of people with the personality traits that fit their brands, revealed that people who buy more than three pairs of sneakers a year are “61% more likely than the general population to have the qualities of a modern leader”. Say what? I’m telling you, my fellow shoe fiends, the facts just keep piling up in our favor. First better sex, now more powerful leadership skills. What’s next? After sampling 7,500 respondents, the study showed that these people (we’ll call them shoe lovers) are likely to be more decisive, assertive and spontaneous; all the qualities of a modern day leader. “It is often said you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear, and now we have some hard data to back that up,” said Sarah Welch, COO and co-founder of Mindset Media in a release. “Sneaker marketers can take advantage of this data and the Mindset Media targeting capability to reach enthusiastic sneaker buyers more efficiently.” We’re now wondering how many shoes our poli-friend Barry Obama has in his closet – we’re guessing and hoping he has a lot.
