You can always count on Nine West to bring you the latest in trendy shoe fashion at relatively low prices and these fit a bunch of shoedish’s favorite shoe themes for the 2008 shoe year. Sorry for bombarding you with the yellow parade - have we gotten our point across yet - but these shoes just couldn’t be missed for a pretty Monday morning. These yellow-jacket spectator for summer peep-toe slingbacks have been nicknamed “Heathers” and because of shoedish’s obsessive love of 80s movies, we can’t help but mouth off a bunch of things, like “Now I’ve seen a lot of bullshit… angel dust, switchblades, sexually perverse photography involving tennis rackets…” and “Moby Dick is dunked. The white whale drank some bad plankton and splashed through a coffee table and now it’s your turn to take the helm.” Are you feeling me? Well, these shoe are sure feeling the late 80s; they’ve done a triple back tuck off the high dive and landed a perfect 10 into the new millennium.
…And manana manana we promise to post a few different colors to treat your shoe love.

Look! It’s shoedish’s other favorite trend - there’s no yellow living here - color blocking! The Nina Gaticus YL from Nina Shoes has added that crazy look to our shoe eye, the one we get when we’re way to excited about a new pair of shoes. These pretty fishnet leather sandals are sparkling with luscious color. Forgot to paint you toenails? Don’t worry, these shoes will do all the work for you. This takes the color train to a whole new level and shoedish is running in order to jump on board. Where is Mary Murphy when you need here? These shoes deserve the old So You Think You Can Dance hoop and holler. Speaking of SYTYCD…when is that shoe coming back on?

We had an “Oh, my God” moment with these pretty Miu Miu’s tea cup mary jane pumps. Talk about a trip through the looking glass. These shoes make me want to not only read, but dive head first into the world of Alice in Wonderland. If the color and gold piping wasn’t enough, you also have the luxury of some serious heel love. These are the shoes that Mrs. Mad Hatter prays her husband will buy her for their anniversary, if only he’d stop flirting with that blue dressed blonde at his “Mad Tea Party”. Men! Thank your lucky shoes for Miu Miu - these mary janes won’t be “murdering the time” - they’ve always got something special up their sleeves and these Mad Hatter mary janes are certainly no exception…

We keep telling you how important yellow is to the spring/summer season. If you don’t believe me, just ask Hollywood. The number of Hollywood celebrities wearing yellow shoes keeps stacking up in our favor. It’s like a yellow fever has exploded in the valley where ‘California Holly’ already runs rampant. Just ask Eva Longoria-Parker! She’s the most recent star to be spotted by shoedish wearing pretty, banana-yellow dress sandals at her new restaurant with Todd English, Besos. We also love the way she’s paired these pretty pumps with this subtle purple dress. Wear yellow; be fearless! How very Easter chic, in a very, very good way. Shoedish has selected a wide range of yellow fever shoes, sure to get you through this outbreak without losing a foot.

Here’s one of shoedish’s favorite yellow shoes. These triple-straps from Report Signature are a triple threat, complete with a peep-toe, yellow patent, and well of course, the triple-strap. We love us a mary jane, but we love even more a mary jane dolly peep-toe in yellow. Available from Shopbop for $195.

Here’s a more subtle choice for those who fear the yellow monster. These muted, mustard-yellow, mary janes from Kenneth Cole Reaction are like the granola version of this springs yellow trend. Available for $79 and Piperlime.

These are the ultimate ultimate in yellow. You can’t get any more yellow than this? Skittles, rainbows, and every other delectable treat; these shoes make it hard for us to finish our fast. Jimmy Choo’s skittle-yellow peep-toes are available at Net-A-Porter for $585.

Here’s the pointy-toe version of the yellow train. These pumps are a pretty classic pump that have a little yellow zing and some lizard zang to add to the mix. Available at Macy*s for $69. Check out the Macy*s 10-50% off sale going on now.

Now we couldn’t really call ourselves The Shoe Dish if we didn’t bring a you an uber affordable version of the yellow submarine and here you have it. A pretty, spring-yellow, bow-vamp slingback from Payless. These pretty kitten-heel peeps are available for just $12.99! SUPER!
