Yesterday we posted this designer challenge between French Sole and…who else? The challenger was none other than the copycat designer of all copycat designers himself, Steve Madden. These pretty blooming vamp thongs from Steve Madden are a fraction of the price of the ones from French Sole. We will admit to liking the SM version, though we do think that the French Soles are much more atheistically pleasing, as well as a bit more chic. $100 off the retail price, however, would have us scrambling for the Steve Madden version. They are merely sandals, after all, and $200 is way too much for a pair of sandals, no matter how pretty you are.
