And the Celebrity Shoe Star is…Miley Cyrus of “Hannah Montana” fame. She’s taking over the world and wearing pretty shoes all the way to the top. Poor Miley Cyrus. I actually feel sorry for the kid. She seems to be catching quite a bit of slack for all this “naked truth” business. Need people be reminded that she’s 15! A 15-year old trying to look sexy isn’t anything new. When I was 15, all I wanted to do was wear mini-skirts to church to see if I could get a rise out of the congregation, but it was harmless. Oh Hollywood, you can be so fickle. For our purposes, Ms. Miley Cyrus is an A+ shoe queen. You go girl! We’ll be watching the shoes and praying you don’t follow in Brit Brats shoes…literally, Britney’s shoes are hideous!!

Here’s a nice little 40% off for you! Shoedish loves Charles David, but a sale Charles David shoe is like Wentworth Miller and Ryan Gosling tag teaming you while you watch the sunset in Fiji. Speaking of Ryan Gosling; he’s not really hooking up with Kirsten Dunst is he? Anyway, these pretty wedge sandals from Charles David have a nice little crochet-like-print embellishing the heel platform and footbed. But the best part - as we mentioned before - is that super sweet sale price of $67.99. That’s a whopping 46% off, ya’ll!!!! Woohoo!! We’ll take one of each please; some subtle color for your summer wardrobe.

I can hear the rants now. Shoedish is going to get her shoe loving rear ripped a new one - straight through - for this one, but since honesty is the name of the game, I’m going to have to say that this is a sad little “oldie” hurache from Sunsteps. I’m pretty sure that Momma Shoedish and Papa Shoe both owned a pair of these shoes back in the late 60s or early 70s? Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if Papa Shoe still had them and was wearing them with black socks even as we speak. I kid, I kid. It’s not like we can’t support a little vintage action up in here, but when the fashion Gods said “Let there be woven sandals for summer 2008” I don’t a misstep from the 70s was what they had in mind. Of course I imagine some may disagree and I welcome the challenge. If you like these shoes, you can buy them at DSW. xoxo!

Lets just ignore the fact that these Manolo Blahnik thongs cost $965 - yes, that is pony hair on the insole - and focus on the more positive aspects of the sandal. What? You can’t get past that price tag? Yeah, we understand. Even Manolo Blahnik is asking for a little too much shoe-fiend-trust when it comes to a buck a shoe. Pony hair on an insole is like gold on the ceiling; what’s the point? Even after factoring in the aged brass t-strap and link detailing this is still just a thong. A thong for people who have way more money than shoedish, but just a thong none-the-less. Even if we could afford them (which we can’t) we could never justify spending that kind of money on a shoe - and we could justify a lot when it comes to shoes - that would do absolutely nothing for our calves.

Look! It’s an Ugg you can actually justify wearing in the summer! Okay, so Ugg Australia has been making a “true” summer sandal collection for a little while now, but that hasn’t stopped the outrageous wearing of the famous Ugg boot in the summer. Now that Ugg sandals are readily available I think it’s safe to say that winter boots can stick to winter weather, no? Shoedish can definitely support the lambskin footbed, but we’re even more excited about the sheepskin heelbed of these Rochelle wedges. So, that’s what it’s like to walk in the clouds.

Metallics, embellishments, bobbles and bling, that’s the name of the game for everything summer footwear has to offer. Want your newly bronzed legs to pop, wear some gold embellishment. Want your newly manicured toes to take center stage, throw in some metallics. Want to put a little shimmy shake in your step, deck your shoes with all the bobbliciousness that this summers hardware has to offer. Want to? Want to! Here’s a few more of our favorite bohemian summer casual sandals.

This thong from Dolce Vita may look simple, but there’s nothing simple about a shoe that embodies virtually every trend currently walking the runways; skins, t-strap, boho-chic, and metallic.

Forget jewels and crystals, Bo’em gets its bling from a more natural source, using polished stones to deck out the vamp of these glammed up bohemian thongs.

More natural bling, more bohemian chic from ASOS. These leather and fabric ankle wrap thongs are climbing their way to the top of shoedish’s ‘want it’ list.

We couldn’t so much as blink without mentioning a gladiator-esque sandal and this one from Antik Batik is a hit. The embellishment on the vamp really is a ‘bobble’.

Two reasons. 1) They’re fabulous, and 2) You must have an uber chic yellow shoe option for summer. From Cutesy Girl.
