We’re pretty sure that Louis Vuitton takes the cake when it comes to ridiculously expensive shoes, and while we covet what we can’t have when it coms to most (or all) things shoewise, we have to admit that even this is a bit extravagant. How exactly does one justify the purchasing of a $1,650 shoe that looks an old-school Skecher crossed with a rubberized Payless slingback? Sorry LV, but bedazzling them with a few yellow sequins doesn’t make them look any less like the stuck-between-tween-teen shoe that they’re currently channeling. We love a lot of what LV has to offer, but this is taking the name brand just a step too far.

They do exist! They do exist! We have seen the Sergio Rossi Limited-Edition Red-Carpet sandal made exclusively for the Cannes Film Festival and they’re…well, they’re not as exciting, glamorous, and exclusive as we’d hoped. They’re pretty and we guess they’re red-carpet worthy, but we were expecting something that would truly be a WOW factor and these are just another bow-vamped silver platform. Oh well, here they are none-the-less. With Cameron Diaz and Christina Ricci wearing Sergio Rossi accessories during the premieres of their most recent films it looks like the Hollywood connection Sergio Rossi is looking for is already paying off, awesome glamor shoe or not.

There’s a ton of controversy spinning around Project Runway, it’s 6th season, moving from Bravo to another “spot” in the vast desert of TV Land, and the demise of the Elle contract, but that doesn’t make us love or it’s proponents, guru’s and fashionista’s any less.
