Even Proenza Schouler made it into the 81 wardrobe changes that SJP had for Carrie in the new Sex and the City movie. That’s right shoe friends, 81 outfits!!! Mind you that not all of these outfits were paired with a different pair of shoes, but still. Oh, what we would give to own just one of the coveted SATC movie shoes…and not some designer knockoffs either. These pretty heel love nautical pumps are pretty, not our fist choice for coveted Sex and the City movie shoes (though we’d certainly take them if someone wanted us to have them. The studded gold heel of the Proenza Schouler pumps pairs beautifully with the simmered down fabric of the striped sandal straps. Available at Net-a-Porter for $685.

These are another favorite from the Sex and the City movie. Carrie wears them with a slew of different outfits and Donald Trumps most recent wife wore them, appropriately enough, to the movies premiere. How very chic and upper crust of you, Melania. These zebra-print Manolo Blahnik d’orsays are gorgeous. We can totally see what all the fuss is about. These are the kind of shoes that give MB the right to be referred to, by the shoe guru of all shoe guru’s herself, as “lover”. Hello lover indeed!!

Shoedish has found her new favorite gladiator sandals. These simple sandals from Cythia Vincent are the perfect pair to any summer outfit. We’re not sure how we feel about these huarache sandals from Chadwicks, but we do know that we are very drawn to the blue colored one, though it could merely be the color. Caged sandals, gladiators, and strap-happy platforms have given classic woven shoes new life in this seasons shoe trends. The old standbys, like huaraches and jellie sandals are popping up all over the place and shoedish is happy to say that she’s a proud converter. Shoedish has been called a stiletto nazi, which we can’t deny nor does it bother us, but even shoedish has found herself wearing more and more flats these days. We’re starting to have this scary obsession with out feet; fear of mangled toe bones and funky arches due to our chronic stiletto wearing. We think it has something to do with our most recent birthday. Subconsciously, we’re trying to salvage what’s left of our decent-looking peds and this seasons gladiator sandals, jellie flats, and even huaraches are helping us do it in style.
