Miss Bunny does weddings! Shoedish has always said that she would never wear white shoes to her wedding. Recently we’ve had dreams of custom-made airbrush tattoo designed platform peep-toes courtesy of Kat Von D from LA Ink (hey, it’s my wedding shoe fantasy). But, as we were browsing through some of the custom-made shoe designs from Miss Bunny Shoes today, we stumbled upon these wedding shoe designs. Okay, so pink and lace aren’t getting far enough away from the “wedding shoe” theme for us, but since Miss Bunny Shoes are made to order, we’re thinking we might be able to pull off this tattoo shoe fantasy after all…now we just need to find a husband.

We are in love…again…yes, yes, again! We had the wonderful fortune to preview Charlotte Olympia’s premiere shoe collection late last year and were stunned, awed, and delighted by her sky-high platforms, glitzy gold patents, and red suede. Ooooh la la would be a weak expression when it came to those shoes by the then up and coming shoe designer. With her second collection, however, Charlotte is preparing to wow the masses. The sophomore collection from Charlotte Olympia will be stocked at Browns, Net-A-Porter and Harvey Nichols. Well done! The shoe love, as well as the platform love will continue with the new collection, but this time she’s adding vampy, kitschy, and every other kind of boudoir chic you can dream of. These tassel-heeled platform pumps are a favorite of the new collection, though it was very difficult to choose from the cabaret collection of Vaudeville-inspired shoes. Charlotte Olympia will be available in the fall. Her website, in the works, will be available shortly.

When shoedish was just a wee one we loved bugs and reptiles - that was until that fateful night we watched Arachnaphobia, while eating Goo Goo Clusters and had to be rocked to sleep by our patient mother…ah, the ignorance of youth - and one of our most favorite arachnids was the tarantula. In New Mexico, we had giant tarantulas; spiders so big your could see the fur growing on their backs and from a distance you might mistake them for a small kitten. To think of it now sends chills down our spine. So, you could imagine the surprise when at our current, rather bug-wise age, we’ve fallen in love with a tarantula. This time, as luck might have it, it’s in the form a very pretty wedge sandal (we hope that’s a sandal and not a cleverly disguised spider). These ‘Spider’ peep-toe pumps from Irregular Choice are are a spirited dance of textures, which could be the reason behind the name. Lace, patent, serrated, and leather weave an intricate web of beautifully crafted femininity. Leave it to Irregular Choice…

We haven’t posted any shoes recently from Anthropologie, so we figured today was as good a day as any to jump back on the Anthropologie shoe wagon. We were pleased to find these pretty feminine wedges topped off with a very dainty, school maiden, bow on the vamp. This wedge screams texture heaven and a synergy of overlapping fabrics that are wrestling for the attention of shoe lovers everywhere. These peeps are doused with a little bit o’ lace, a little bit o’ leather, and they even have a little bit o’ tweed as well. Very impressive. Cleverly called the ‘Tarantella’, which is a rapid, whirling dance that originated in Italy, there is certainly something perfectly choreographed going on here.
