Hey there twinkle toes, is that glitter on your shoes, or are you just happy to see me?
So, sorry for all those delayed posts yesterday, but shoedish moved into a new apartment and it was crazy, hot, and a lot of other things that I’m not going to complain about, because alas, I am in my own apartment and…wait for it…my friend L and Mama Sheila (Shout out!) will be here in T - 3 days. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! To celebrate this big occasion, we’re posting a load of sparkly shoes. There’s nothing like some glitter and gold for a party and shoedish is ready to PARTY!!!!! Party along with us in one of these:

Shoes courtesy of Enzo Angelini, Veronique Branguinho, Miu Miu and Giuseppe Zanotti, Aldo, Bronx Shoes, and Carlos by Carlos Santana.

Our good friend and more importantly friend to shoes, Jerome Choinnard-Rousseau, has begun his move to the top. The designer named by Footwear News as the shoe designer to watch, is launching his very first collection this fall and we’ve got a sneak peak at the lovely designs. These color-blocked peep-toes are making our toes tingle! With two different blocks of snakeskin embossing and a suede body, these heels are the cream of the fall shoe crop. Top it off with a little piping and they’ll have you eating off their foot bed. Fantasies of the new collection just get better and better; so much so that shoedish is beginning to ring her shoe bell. We won’t be premature, though - knock on wood - while Rousseau gets picked up by every major shoes store on the planet. Check out the July edition of Italian Vogue for a fresh feature on the designer and get on your marks to be the first to own a pair of his shoes. The new collection will be available from select retailers, like Fred Segal Feet and The Wynn in the US and Harvey Nichols, La Vetrina di Beryl, Mahna Mahna, Septieme, and Belinda, among others internationally starting in July. In the meantime, we’ll take two! Two, you ask? Isn’t that a bit selfish, shoedish? Yeah, so. We need one for our feet and one to display. Shoes = Art!

Okay, so we’re loving these…oooh laaaa laaaa my shoe friends. The only problem we’re having is which color to buy. Which would you buy? These statement-making sandals are following the strappy look of the gladiator trend in a fashionably sexy way. A synergy of snake-print and satin trims these platform sandals from BCBG with a prim and properness fit for a luxurious princess. High shine completes the bedazzling effect of the shimmering patent and colorful embossing, and the hidden platform keeps you secretly elevated. Shoedish likey!

There is no question that the gladiator sandal is the oldest shoe in the books. In fact, they’re so “classic” that they came before recorded history. How’s that for old school? Do you remember when skateboarding was “so yesterday”? Though it’s no longer an “in” or “out” kind of sport, we’re still going to use that “I’m in with the in crowd” image to make the point that this gladiator skateboard (which, we stumbled upon courtesy of Shoewawa) is so very “old school”. Okay, enough with the quotation marks. If you could see us air quoting right now, you’d slap us in the face…Oh, wait, we’ll do it for you. Though in our book, the stranger the shoe accessory the better, we must agree with Shoewawa here, who cleverly point out the technical problems with being strapped to your skateboard. How exactly is one to stop?
Gladiator sandal skateboard is available from Greece is for Lovers.

Here’s a pair of shoes you could only pull off in the Hamptons, though the hemp-sole might make them more readily wearable. I’m sorry, but is that hemp on the soles of your shoes? There are no diamonds here, maybe the hemp takes them out of the Hamptons scene and puts them closer to flower child activism. Uh, Rennie Davis called and he wants his bracelet string back. No, we only kid, we actually quite like these Mediterranean-blue penny loafer styled boat shoes from Hollywould, even down to the very pretentious air about them. These make us think of Steff (James Spader) in Pretty in Pink. If only Andie (Molly Ringwald) had worn these, instead of that awful pink prom dress (really, did anyone like that dress, eve in the 80s?).

These kitten wedge sandals from Payless are a perfect addition to your summer shoedrobe. Get them during the Payless BOGO sale and you’ll have even more reasons to embellish your vamps. We love the oversized turquoise brooch on the vamp and even though we sometimes gossip behind kitten heels back, we actually like the idea of a mid-sized wedge for casual weekend walking. These heels can give you a little height, while managing to keep it comfy. Additionally, the foot bed is padded, so that makes things even more bearable. Receive free shipping when you spend $50 on your next purchases at Payless online. BOGO now!!!
