And the Celebrity Shoe Star is…Anne Hathaway! Shoedish has always been a big fan of Anne, ever since her days as a princess for Disney’s The Princess Diaries. Since her stint on The Devil Wears Prada, she’s been a style maven in Hollywood and a new force to be reckoned with. On skinny jeans, Anne Hathaway says, “Well, I love them on other people, but I don’t think skinny pants loved me. Some girls can wear them with flats. I need to wear them with tranny shoes in order for them to look good.” Hey, that’s kind of how we feel about peeked toe shoes…er, well kind of. Wear those tranny shoes, Anne, the taller the better. We’re hoping to see this one around for many years to come.

what does that tell you?
What’s a gal to do
when she’s only got 39 shoes?

Wouldn’t you know it
It’s the very pair
I wanted to wear.

I’ve hunted and grunted.
searched low, then high
I’m plumb mystified
“Dang it!
Where’s my other shoe?!” I cried.

Only so many places
a shoe could hide.
Retraced my footsteps
every inch; near and wide.

This has made me insane.
I’ve gone quite mad;
things are looking hazy.
I tell ya, I think I’m going crazy.

I’ve looked under chairs
and couches
up and down the stairs
I need my 40th shoe!

Now what am I going to do?
They were the perfect shade of blue.
But wait! I’ve got an American Express.
No need for this girl to get depressed.

Shoedish wasn’t a fan of “Western” the first time it came around. To us, cowboy hats and boots are best left to the Old West or, of course, real cowboys. Alas, it seems our opinion doesn’t matter, as Cowgirl Chic is making a comeback. We made it our mission to find a boot that suits the trend, without being to overwhelmingly cowbell and we think we found it in these pretty dual-tone knee-high boots from Tashkent. Textured meets smooth in these pretty calfskin boots; a natural ode to the roots of a very rugged trend. If you can avoid wearing these with tattered daisy dukes, shoedish will deal you a solid.
