This morning shoedish is saying goodbye to her Barcelona and flying back across the pond to her permanent address (no matter where I am, New York is always home). It’s been one hell of a ride folks, but now it’s back to reality. We can’t wait to see that familiar skyline, the one that made us gasp the first time around. We can’t wait to see our friends! We also can’t wait to see all our shoes - those who couldn’t make the trip with us - mama’s coming home boys!! We can’t wait to see our baby boy, Riley! Yay! Adios Barcelona. Gracias para el buen tiempo. ¡Ha sido diversión! Hola mi Nuevo York, hasta pronto!!
To celebrate our homecoming and our one month of shoe sobriety, we’re falling face first off the wagon and buying these shoes from BCBG.

I was talking to my BFF last week when she told me that her baby bro was leaving for his study abroad program the next day. My first reaction was, say what? Since when do study abroad programs begin in the middle of the summer. Hold up! See, now that’s what happens when you’re living a life completely devoted to selfish pleasures. It’s August already? That’s right folks. It’s back to school time. You’d think I’d know this since everything is unfolding all at once, but of course as is normal for el shoedish, we’re not too planny-mc-planner. In fact, it was less than a week ago that we actually got ahold of a return flight itinerary and we hardly have ourselves to thank for that. Anyhoot, enough with all that non-sense, these shoes are what you’re here for and here’s shoedish’s list for the heavy McFly in back to school shoewear. Enjoy my pets!

We’ve been saying it for months and now it looks like the powers that be have finally jumped on board. T-straps are back!! Yay! As you know, this shoe from Max Studio combines two of shoedish’s favorite styles. Now you can wear them like the proud and all-knowing fashionista you are.
It’s all about the Mock son! Get your little fingers on these Minnetonka wonders before they realize they’re the next Ugg and raise the roof on their prices. Moccasins have been making a comeback for few seasons now and this fall is their time to shine.

You may not be a spectator when it comes to sports, after school activities, and yearbook, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear them. All those extra curriculars making your head spin? Well, stick your feet in these pretty shoe bootie oxfords from rsvp and you’ll make the shoe honor role in our book.

Gossip Girl is bringing back the uniform chic and we think that these sexy brogues from Alexander McQueen are exactly what the school master had in mind. OMFG!

No shoedrobe is complete this fall without a little boot scoot lovin’. Whether you be into the two step, Harley’s Angels, Foxtrot, or The Devil’s Rejects, there’s a trendy boot style made just for you. Hit up the motorcycle chic or do a little rugged west coast swing with these boots from the father of the boot, Frye.
Don’t think that just because it’s fall, the gladiator is done. The gladiator has paved the way for hardcore straps and extreme cut-outs will be taking their party all the way to winter, so round up your staples now. These would-be-boots-if-they-didn’t-have-all-those-cut-outs from Marni are what’s new in cool for shoe.
