stella mccartney boots and booties for fall

stella-1.jpgstella-2.jpg

Stella McCartney is making us tremendously excited for winter with her new collection of sweater shaft boots and booties. These mid-calf ankle boots look fantastic when you roll the sock down to create a comfy bootie, but we’re focussing all our attention on the knee-high sweater shaft of picture 2. LOVE IT!!! Both boots have been added to our growing list of ‘Want It’ boots for fall and receive a coveted six stiletto salute. Stella McCartney is the famous designer behind the animal-friendly line of couture and high street designs and her shoes are not only a favorite of veggies and activists but every fashionista, trendsetter, and style conscious consumer in the world.

a platform that screams sex…and so much more

Originally uploaded by shoedish

Okay, so these might be straddling the line between femme fatale and street walker, but we’re going to saddle up and take our support for what we expect is going to be a wild ride. These triple-strap peep-toe mary jane platforms from Steve Madden (do you see how we’ve made our peace with SM; how big of us) are…wait for it…FANTASTIC!!! Yes, we love them. There’s little a platform can do to get on our bad list and fortunately for these pretty peeps, they’re doing everything right, right down to the burgundy was goth coloring. Say what you like about these exotic dancer look-a-like shoes, but if Gwen Stefani or Christina Aguilera had them on they’d be the new fashion trend, no shoe mockery or questions asked.

pour la victoire channels dior

Originally uploaded by shoedish

Here’s a great example of runway fashion taken to the streets. As you well know most runway styles must be reinterpreted to be successfully worn in the everyday and this reigns true for some shoe designs as well. The coveted woven Christian Dior platforms of seasons past have been reinterpreted several times since, but these gorgeous pumps from Pour la Victoire do it quite well. These bubble gum pink pumps are still funky and unique, but they can be worn with a slew of everyday styles unlike their massive platform predecessor. We’d take the Dior platforms over these any day, but in the event that we never have that chance, we’ll take the subtle knockoff instead.
