The Wizard of Oz shoes have been fully realized. In July and August we showed you the designer sketches from A. Testoni, Abaete, Alberta Ferretti, Betsey Johnson, Botkier, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, L.A.M.B, Lisa Pliner, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, Roger Vivier, Sergio Rossi, Stuart Weitzman, Tibi, and Tuleh as they began to prepare for their reinterpretation of the famous Dorothy red slippers from The Wizard of Oz, which debuted at Saks Fifth Avenue last week at the opening of New York Fashion Week in honor of the films 70th anniversary. Shoedish loves to see shoe sketches come to life and this pretty “There’s no place like home” red slipper is certainly a modernized version of that famous shoe.
