Shoedish always says that roses are a bit of a weak gesture. It’s one thing to get a rose bouquet spur of the moment or from girlfriends, but it is wholly another to get them for Valentine’s Day, a birthday, or an anniversary. Sorry fellas, but that’s just weak. These, on the other hand, are a gesture indeed. Any man who buys us a pair of shoes embellished to the T with roses is getting a pat on the back and a very special reward. These pretty, rose t-strap, dress sandals from Anthropologie are a gift for your feet. Who wants to tattoo bows onto your calves and thighs when you can give your legs the gift of shoe!

Salud, my shoe friends, to a happy shoe week indeed. Shoedish, as we mentioned, had been feeling very sorry for herself the last few days. What and why, you might ask, with all the pretty fall booties and the fashion weeks wrapping up their prelude to spring 2009. My word, you even got a brand new shoe tattoo sweet shoedish. We know, we know, isn’t that the point of self pity; feeling sorry for oneself for no apparent reason. Snap out of it you big shoe slut!!! Well, the scales were tipping in our favor at the start of Shoe Tuesday and these pretty purple people eater boots from Schuh (bless you!) have added to the off-balance. Yay! We’ll be purchasing these pretty spectator shoe booties faster than you can say masculine, positive, extrovert, zodiac, astrology, libra. Get it?

Ya’ll are getting weak!! The last two weeks have garnered zero guesses in the Celebrity Shoe Star category and shoedish is disappointed. Could it be that you all had been cheating during all the weeks in the past. Couldn’t be. No! We refuse to believe that it’s true. Well, the Celebrity Shoe Star is…Keri Hilson of Timbaland fame. Here’s one of those up and coming stars who has pages and pages of Google images and yet has missed the uber fantasy of being listed, by name, on either PerezHilton.com or TheSkinnyWebsite.com. Maybe that’s a good thing, though we imagine it won’t take long. They say Perez can make or break a career, so we hope that Hilson hits the long scroll-down list soon. Any publicity is good publicity, right? Er…well, at least she has great shoes!

We’ve been taken aback by all the great things coming out of the house of Pierre Hardy. Jeepers creepers, where’d you get them shoes? Our Monday started off with a self imposed pity party, but we’re starting to feel much better as the shoe week continues and these pretty peep-toe bow-vamp platform pumps from Pierre Hardy are helping our positive progress right along. These luxurious patent peeps are complete with a single eyelet lace vamp and a solid school girl platform. We think these are prefect for the new Serena and her continued stomp all over Dan. Poor Dan; we’ll be there to help him up off the floor. These white pumps are available, on sale, at Yoox.
