Have you had enough fringe yet? Well, my shoe friends, you’re just going to have to get used to it, because mocky fringe boots are here to stay. Shoedish loves that designers are really beginning to dig in with their heels and design some more trendelicious versions of the classic fringed moccasin. The traditional slipper was always flat - with a wonky footbed and unflattering shafts - but the new designer versions are starting to look kind of pretty. This peep-toe version from Bebe has even gotten up the courage to add a stiletto heel. Along with the tiered layer of fringe and studded ankle embellishment, these boots are definitely made for walking. Available at Bebe online for $219.

Here’s the answer the that bizarre shoe riddle we threw at you on Thursday and didn’t answer on Friday due to our serious lapse in responsibility. Hope it was worth the wait. The riddle was: You are missing the shoe to your left foot. You are looking in a shoe box for your missing shoe. I will tell you that it is in there. You are wearing its match. In the shoe box, all of the shoes have their match. Unfortunately for you, they are all the same size, color, and brand. What is the best way to find your missing shoe? Check back tomorrow to the answer to this riddle.
The answer is: Any of the shoes will do since they are all exactly the same. Each left shoe is a mate for each right. Grab the first left shoe you see.
*We didn’t make this up, btw, so please don’t ask us to explain. Platform peep-toes courtesy of Bakers and on sale NOW for $49.99.

Shoedish was a big fan of Miss Sixty back in our high school days. They were like the stiletto to our heel, the strap to our mary janes, and the wedge to our platforms. Not that they’ve dropped off of our radar or anything like that, but that which you hold on a pedestal is doomed to fall, right? Hey, we’d say the same about Christina Louboutin, so don’t be going and getting your toes all scrunched up. We’re here today to praise the new fall line of boots, booties, and lace-up peep-toes from Miss Sixty. The company that has long been praised for its edgy reinterpretation of Bohemian chic is making it work with a fabulous, free-spirited, and smart footwear collection. These peep-toe oxfords are among shoedish’s favorite from the new line and the oversized ribbon laces add a Parisian femme flair to the trendy fall look. We loves!

Sorry about Friday my shoe friends. Shoedish’s “whoops” took some time to restore, but we are fully back in business with all of the links, pages, and posts back up and running. We’d be lying if we said that we didn’t have about a two-hour panic attack, but it’s all good now. What better way to celebrate a successful sidestep on catastrophe than with a brand new pair of shoes. Shoedish visited one of her favorite shoe warehouses this weekend, Shoes On A Shoestring, and bought two new pairs of shoes. We’re back into a serious green kick right now and took home both a dressy stiletto from Anne Michelle and comfy loafer from Soda. The open-toe stilettos are a loud - almost obnoxiously so - metallic green rock ‘n’ roll dress heel while the loafers come dangerously close to looking like a golf shoe we’d wear while lunching at a club in the Hamptons (similar to those pictured to the right), but we’ll continue to tell ourselves that they’re the new school girl chic ala Gossip Girl. Fickle and a hypocrite, shoedish is totally Serena. OMG!!
