Shoedish would like to introduce you to the launch of a spectacular new jewelry web site for all you bobble babes looking for something new and different for your growing jewelry collections. The Shoe Dish loves her shoes, but we like to dabble in other creative accessories as well and Blaguette is our new favorite outlet for the other part of our fashion mind. Blaguette was created by friends, Adrienne Garrard and Nancy Kang, who were looking for an outlet to their creativity. Combining a passion for high fashion, gems, and, of course, jewelry, they created the fabulous luxury of designer jewelry at affordable prices. We’ve had or eye on these Deliciously Diva rings from the Disco Diva Winter Collection. The Duomo in particular is tracking stars in our eyes and leaving us with that lightheaded feeling you get from sheer ecstasy. Oh, what we would give to have this ring sitting pretty on our finger. These shoes from Rene Caovilla remind us of something that only Carrie Bradshaw would wear - paired with a vintage lace bra and panty set and sheer nightgown - while digging through her wardrobe to get ready for a day filled with whatever it is that she does. This is Parisian Boudoir Chic. If these shoes could smoke a fag, they’d be doing just that. These lace slides are a little pretentious in a fabulously high street way and shoedish is in love. It’s every shoe girls dream to strut around our million dollar pad, Blaire Waldorf style, while wearing the sexiest bedroom slipper on the face of the earth, so when this clog-form stiletto slide is transformed into a sexy dress shoe for use outside the bedroom, what would you expect us to do? Now this, my shoe friends, is the kind of shoe you leave on ALWAYS, whether you’re boogying down in public or the privacy of your own bedroom. Here’s to the red light special for modern couture. We haven’t quite made up our minds about these shoe booties from Pedro Garcia. This is one of these shoes you just have to try on to get the full effect. This is shoe bootie trend fully realized and quite literal, really. Take a shoe and make it a bootie. Hey, if you can reinterpret every classic men’s shoe - spectator, oxford, loafer - into cockeyed feminine footwear than why not make an athletic shoe into a dress bootie for fall? This reminds us a those green kitten heel slides that looked like adidas soccer shoes - the copa mundial dress heel - and they were quite cute if we do say so ourselves. So, we’re going to give Pedro Garcia the benefit of the doubt on this one. Thoughts?

Diane von Furstenberg has been popping up all over the designer map lately from reality television shows like Project Runway to national advertising campaigns like the American Express credit card commercial. Diane claims that her parlay into fashion happened by complete mistake and like most designers, her goal in the fashion world is to make women feel beautiful. How nice. Well, these shoes from her fall collection are working on making shoedish feel quite lovely indeed. A few months back, shoedish did a special feature on Cesare Paciotti. It was a weeks worth of preview for the designer known for spectacularly gaudy shoes that are fantastically over-embellished, lust-worthy, and unique. Not everyone was impressed with our new favorite designer, but we stand by our man. These new favorites for fall have rung our shoe bell again with their vivacious charm. This is the man who isn’t afraid to step up to the plate, is a little witty and sarcastic , and maybe even a bit overconfident all in the form of a really great dress shoe.
