The Fit goes Flop when it comes to “trend”. Sorry all you FitFlop followers, but shoedish is still not convinced. We get that they’re comfortable, but nurse clogs and Crocs are comfy too and we still wouldn’t be caught dead wearing them. What we love most about the FitFlop is thier silly attempt at modern trends. We showed you a fugtastic version of the trendy gladiator look last week and we just had to follow up with these fringe favorites from the new collection as well. Call us crazy, but with this seemingly awesome technology, isn’t there a way to make it cool, sleek, and functional as well. I mean, the iPhone is super cool looking while being uber functional as well. Maybe they could come up with a style that hides the sole and create a more sleek closed-toe style? Anyone? We maintain our previous argument; if Christian Louboutin can make a comfy stiletto by using a hidden platform and Steve Jobs can make a laptop for your hand, than we think fit and functional can be cute and trendy in this case as well.

Me thinks me’ve found me new pair of favorite heels! Oh what, oh what would we do without the shoes? These pretty double-strap mary jane t-strap joint pumps from Poetic Licence are just too cute; too cute for normal words that is, so instead we will sing them a song. Here’s our little shoe diddy to pretty suede pumps with metallic piping:

It’s almost time for yet another shoe charity round from FFANY. This year will mark the 15th anniversary of QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale,” the footwear industry’s annual campaign to stomp out breast cancer. “We’re very proud of all we’ve accomplished,” said Joe Moore, president and CEO of FFANY. The gala will be held in New York this coming Wednesday, October 15th, but you can also follow the events by tuning in to QVC’s live broadcast. 100,000 half-price shoes, donated by nearly 100 designer brands, will be available for purchase with some online exclusives. This years Shoes on Sale event is on track to surpass the $30 million fundraising mark for the year. With the current economic conditions, QVC is offering a pay-by-installment plan on select online purchases.

Shoedish made a whopping shoe whoops this weekend and is suffering the consequences today. We joined a soccer team and played our first game yesterday. Shoedish hasn’t played ball since college and consequently hasn’t worn soccer boots or touched a ball since then and we managed to get ourselves into a really bad blister situation. Really bad! In fact, we’re almost positive that we’ve never, ever, ever had blisters this bad. The left heel was damaged so deeply that it is still seeping after 24 hours. We’re not usually in the group of sensitive feet and we rarely get blisters, but alas our time has come and the shoe Gods are making up for lost time. So, shoedish had to wear flip flops to work today, which may not be such a bad thing except that it’s about 30 degrees outside. Oh yeah, my shoe friends, we’re that girl.
