This week, we’ve been focussing heavily on the styles to come in Spring/Summer 2009 and today we’re introducing you to the color palate of the next warm weather season. WSA Today asks and The Shoe Dish concurs, “Who said blue was for boys?” This year we saw all the skittle brights from candy coated patents in tropical shades like orange, fuchsia, and yellow, while winter will bring us closer to rich Parisian brights like dark purples, grey, and every shade of brown your heart can endure. After all those brights what wold the shoe world have left to offer to us with discerning tastes. Well, my shoe friends, it is all about the blue next spring. From suede’s and patent’s to prints and canvas, blue belles are flowering the designs for the new style campaign. The names for these hues, from peacock and spa blue to antique and even bella donna blue, might be more intriguing then the colors themselves, but the game remains the same. If you’re looking to jump start your spring style, pick up a pair of classic pumps, like these suede, almond-toe heels from Guess in a pretty blue tone that suits your tastes.

We talk a lot about shoes on this friendly little shoe loving blog. Among the brands and designers we lust over, Chanel is often at the top of our list. But, Chanel has something else we love as well, and today we’d like to give a little shout-out to Chanel and the other awesome blossom accessories they create. These sunglasses have hit The Shoe Dish ‘It’ list, already turning up on the nose bridges of some of the fashion worlds most forward thinking females like Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie. For the latest collection of eyewear, the style team at Chanel has chosen the delicate, sophisticated, and classic jewel icon; the pearl. The iconic pearl radiates a complex purity while remaining one of our most simple additions to the contemporary women’s wardrobe. Now this beautiful jewel can be found in one of modern styles most important accessories.

It is no secret that shoedish loves Payless. What we fantasize about in designer footwear we realize in Payless fashion. Payless brings fashion forward style to the masses and you have to appreciate that. In the last few years, Payless has stepped up its game, teaming up with iconic footwear designers like Abaete, Lela Rose, and Alice + Olivia, to bring beautiful and trendy styles to everyone, no matter their budget. Next season they’re doing it again. The new trend in clothing and footwear is “eco-friendly” and Payless unveiled plans this week to enter the market stilettos blazing. Bringing ‘green’ to the masses, Payless is slated to offer a new line of affordable, eco-friendly, footwear early next year. Implementing the star power they are so famous for, Payless has signed Summer Rayne Oakes, Discovery Network’s Planet Green fashion and beauty expert, to help with the project as an eco consultant for the brand. We can’t wait!
