chocolate blu carson boots from dsw

It’s back to the boot here at The Shoe Dish. We were wavering off topic for a few days there in order to visit the future of our shoe brood. The Spring/Summer 2009 fashion shows are coming to an end, which means we’re back, staying the course for fall. These Chocolate Blu Carson boots from the fall boot collection over at DSW caught our eye. We’re not sure why. We haven’t decided yet if we actually like this boot or just certain elements of them. The oversized ribbon lace-up at the side is great and we’re loving the western, rustic, Appaloosa, feel of the color and texture, but we’re having a slight issue with the toe. We’ve accepted the fact that we’ll never be comfortable wearing peeked-toe shoes, even though we think they’re a great stye and look cute on just about everyone. We must, however, draw the line when it comes to peeked-toes so long and severe that there is absolutely no way to avoid tripping. One might consider changing the entire characteristic of their stride, posture, and gait in order to wear this style. The only thing this peeked-toe would be good for would be post-duel kicking…as long as you didn’t have to run away afterwards. Chocolate Blue Carson should consider making this style in an almond or round-toe and then we’d be so there.
