It’s all about the holidays!!! It is officially holiday season and shoedish is joining the rest of the consumer retail fever by joining in the early celebrations. It seems that every year Christmas gets better and better at sneaking up on us. This year, however, we’re going to be ready for it. These boots from Michael Kors are on shoedish’s Christmas wish list. It’s a short one this year, but chalk full of delicious shoe goodies none-the-less. These fringe-happy knee-high boots are curing all our winter blues. With a soft suede body and fringed side-lacing, these rustic cowgirl style boots are sweet and sassy. Available at Bloomingdale’s for $249. Now that we’ve found the boots, let’s work on getting some snow; that would make these boots a little more meaningful and the season that much more special!
*Visit Bloomingdale’s and enter for a chance to win a $3,000 shopping spree. While you’re there, check out their fabulous selection of boots and other shearling goodies from Ugg Australia. All Ugg shoes and accessories at Bloomingdales will be shipped free through December 19th!

If you would have told shoedish that velour would ever come back in style, we’d have fallen into a fit of laughter. But, as is the cyclical nature of fashion goes, we could not be all that surprised that velour couldn’t stay away. In come the velour-covered shoe. Stella McCartney will do just about anything to keep her styles and designs animal-friendly, and this time that means dipping her needle into the fabric of a victorian era. Velour was first developed in Lyons, France in 1844 but it wasn’t introduced to the United States until decades later, when it quickly became an icon of clothing for the upwardly mobile and fashion elite. Our memories of velour lie in two very distinct categories; the smashed, color-fade butt of trendy track suits and our favorite formal dress from junior homecoming. As you can see, we can go either way when it comes to this style. How do you feel about velour footwear?
