All this month, shoedish has been celebrating with all the greatest shoe for the holiday season. We’ve discovered what’s hot in casual holiday bootwear, animal-friendly accessories, and the perfect holiday dress shoe, and today we’re looking at all yummies from the mary jane. The mary jane is one of shoedish’s favorite shoe and arguably one of the most revered classic styles. A mary jane is a classic, but with all the modern tools and reinterpretations used today, this vintage style is staying true to a new milleniums lookbook. This holiday season, add a funky classic to your wardrobe, with one of these trendy new mary janes.
*Featured shoes are from Ruthie by Ruthis Davis, Carlos by Carlos Santana, Naughty Monkey, Nine West, Two Lips and Jimmy Choo.

Is it possible to hate, resent, love and adore all at the same time? Of course! This is shoedish, after all. We are the masters of crazy and hypocritical rationalizations. These pretty booties, after all, are from a design company who uses Jessica Simpson’s name to sell there shoes. We love the vast majority of Jessica Simpson shoes and yet, we really just don’t like her. I know, I know, we don’t actually know her as a person, but we’ve judged the book by its cover and the little substance we’ve seen has decided her fate. We wouldn’t be friends or acquaintances with her if she lived in our world. That, of course, is all beside the point, because it’s really all about the shoes and these modern Victorian booties from Jessica Simpson are admittedly pretty. On sale at Macy*s for $89.99, they are worth every penny.

Were you under the impression that with the end of the summer came the end of the gladiator? Thing again! With all the reinterpretation and architecturally modern looks of the “new” shoe, gladiators and their brood of sexy reinterpretations are here to stay. These sexy platform stilettos from Dolce Vita have a closed-toe to keep them safely in the bounds of cold-weather shoes - not that having an open toe could really stop you these days - and worn with some colorful or textured tights, these babies will be the talk of the town. The best part about these shoes is that they’re on sale…like just about everything else you’ll see here today. Available at Oak NYC for $284.
