Oh Yves Saint Laurent, how we love thee. There are certain designer shoes that shoedish covets and they seem to come from a handful of designers. Giuseppe Zanotti is one of our favorites, but we also seem to like just about everything that comes from L.A.M.B., Jenne-O, and Dior as well as the classics like Jimmy and Christian. There are others, of course. These platforms from YSL, for instance, are a great example of designer luxury. The thing we love most about these YSL platforms, however, is not the name, but the fact that they truly could be a good investment. While staying true to the trends of 2009 - platform, stiletto, nude, and peep-toe - they’re relatively simple design and neutral base make them versatile and evergreen. At $870, they better wear you to your grave and then be handed down through four generations.
