We got super duper giddy about these gladiator sandals when we stumbled across them earlier today…until we saw the price tag. Yowsers!!! For real? Uh……Er……Okay, they’re cute, but at the end of the day it’s just a sandal. Like, really, it’s just a sandal. These uber designer sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti, however, seem to be laced with pure gold! $1,075? We added the question mark to enunciate our open-mouthed shock. While “Fashionistas around the world are celebrating over the Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain collection!” shoedish sits in awe and wonder. This is quite the indulgent if we’ve ever seen one, but who are we kidding, if we had the money we’d buy them too. Complete with a ponyskin leopard-print, a heel zipper, and lots of luscious hardware, these gladiator sandals are on trend for summer. Good luck finding a way to rationalize your way into this one. Yesterday the temperature in our neck of the woods dropped about 15 degrees in about an hour. We also had this random snow flurry that lasted all but 30 seconds, which while being bizarre and creepy, was also kind of exciting! Unfortunately, as most storms in this random eden that we currently live in here in the Land of Enchantment go, it didn’t amount to anything. Shoedish is sandals happy! Why, you ask? Well, our really bad week from the prologue to last weekend has brightened…somewhat. Our car is being nursed back to health, we have a replacement phone, and Riley’s illness is not fatal. Remarkably, our depressing dilemma is treatable. Hooray!!!! We are able to look forward to the future once again, which means spring and summer and all those fun and fabulous vacations and wedding fun we have planned over the next 6 months just got even more important!
