While fashion is on a constant recycle pattern, there are a few edgy additions here and there that attempt to “reinterpret” what’s old to new again. For example, 60s MOD meets 80s Madonna to create what they’re coining as 2009s “Witchcraft”. We’re curious, we’ll admit. When we were in high school, we secretly prayed for supernatural powers ala The Craft. Dressing it may be the closest we get, but we’ll take it. These peep-toe platforms from Topshop.com are more MOD than witch, but the the contrast paneling and snakeskin embellishment give them a bit of the necessary dark edge. The key is in the styling, of course. Add a few key “Witchcraft” elements by layering Voodoo-inspired prints and slashed, graphic leggings with heavy hardware.
