We’ve made an executive decision and decided that these will be the shoes we’re wearing (in black) and our bride will be wearing (in white) to the Sacramento wedding come August. Wasn’t that easy! The bride doesn’t know it yet, but we have this way of manipulating our opinion into reality, especially when it comes to shoes. Besides, shoedish only spent $32 on her wedding dress, so we figure $200 is a small price to pay for really cute shoes.

It’s official! Shoedish has a dress for her role as co-maid-of-honor in the upcoming nuptials of her dear friend, J, this summer. This weekend, we (along with our co-captain, H) played wedding planner and successfully maneuvered our pick for bridal gown into one of two runner-up positions, while also finding dresses for the both of us. Our bride has chosen to have us in different dresses with limited restrictions - black and cocktail - which made for a pleasant shopping adventure. Now, the only dilemma to remain is the shoes. While I’d normally plead my case for a colored shoe, given the flexibility of a black dress, I’d also have to admit that a bunch of different colored shoes could throw the whole “picture” off. Thoughts? Shoedish doesn’t mind. Our goal now is to find the greatest pair of black shoes ever made and since we only spent $32 on our dress, we have lots of money left over to do just that!

It’s sunny in the Southwest! That’s right, folks, while much of the country suffers under brutal conditions - Mainiacs got 16-inches 2 days ago - the West is experiencing astonishing highs. It was 72 degrees in shoedish’s neck of the woods yesterday; so warm, in fact, that we drove around town with the top down. So, what does shoedish do when it’s warm outside? Duh, she dreams in sandals and color! These multi-colored t-strap sandals were exactly what we needed yesterday. We’ll have to remedy the default by buying them today!

Besides the ‘G’ charm - we’re not very big fans of the “I’m Dooney and Bourk, Louis Vuitton” named-dropping for our tastes - we love this shoe! While these wouldn’t work for most formal wedding dresses - shoedish has weddings on the brain, so when we see white we automatically jump there - they could work for virtually any outfit I plan on wearing this summer. We may not be getting married, but summer is the perfect time for white shoes and apparel. Guess seems to think that you’ll always be at the height of fashion wearing these sexy stilettos.
