One of readers revealed that she was a bit perturbed that we’d neglected Aldo Shoes of late. It’s not so much neglect, really, as the reality that we’ve been unimpressed by recent collections. But, as promised, we checked out the House of Aldo to see the new spring collection and were pleasantly surprised. There were a few others, but we were immediately drawn to these, because 1) They’re the classic Manolo look-a-like from the famed Sex and the City episode, “A Woman’s Right to Shoes” and 2) Our dear friend is getting married and we’re trying to find the perfect shoe for her fantasy day. These are actually great, because they’re not your basic white wedding shoe, yet they’re still classy and sophisticated. The other benefit is that they’re only 2 1/2 inches high, which makes for a very wearable high heel.

One question we’re asked a lot here at The Shoe Dish is where to find wide width and oversized shoes. While lage-sized shoes do not make up the majority of the shoe world, they are out there. So, if you’re among the lovely minority with extra long toes and width-friendly peds, we’re hear to tell you about Avenue, an online boutique with an entire section of shoes devoted to the wide-width. These pretty green snake-embossed thongs (also available in pink and brown) will give your summer sandal collection a run for its money and because they’re made especially for wide-width feet, they’ll be uber comfortable as well. No more shoving and squeezing, now you can love the feet your in. Because you know what they say about people with big feet… Up to 50% off Boots at Avenue.com - Shop Now.
