As you know, because we’ve told you so many times even we’re sick of hearing it, shoedish is not a huge fan of black shoes. Okay, so they may serve a purpose, we will admit, but they’re just so blah…These shoes - GUESS - Karaoke (Black) - Footwear however, could be in the running for top honors as shoedish’s third in command at the upcoming nuptials of our dear friend J this summer. This weekend we were browsing the shoeniverse in search of black dress heels when we stumbled across these pretty Dorothy-inspired peep-toe dress platforms from Stuart Weitman. CUTENESS!!!! Now, these could be cute with our dress. We’re having very serious shoe dilemma when it comes to said bridesmaid dress, because it’s a bit shiny, which sort of pushes muted black leather shoes out, but it’s also sort of plain while not being plain. These shoes - Stuart Weitzman - Dorothy (Black Satin) - Footwear - also pose two problems all their own. 1) They’re a little bit out of our price range and 2) They might be a bit overkill for wedding party status. Thoughts?

With all this talk of wedges for summer 2009, shoedish must admit that she’s a little bit disappointed and discouraged with the selection out there. We spent half a day scouring Dillards for the perfect summer wedge only to determine that it doesn’t exist. Seriously? If you knew shoedish, you’d understand what a travesty this is.
