We’ve had a few male friends ask us over the years why we don’t blog about men’s footwear. While we do, on occasion, mention the fancy of a men’s shoe, we’ve yet to create a feature or dedicate a regular column to men’s footwear fashion. This is a misstep we aim to remedy. In the following weeks please be sure to check out The Shoe Dish’s new focus on ‘The Man’, including features in our bi-monthly video blog. Footwear News is reporting on Hi-Tec, a California-based outdoor specialty brand, which is launching a premium technology collection for Fall 2009. There boots and heavy footwear will feature Vibram rubber, Thinsulate insulation, and the company’s Ion Mask waterproofing system, which promises to keep customers “warm, dry, and stable in the coming winter. Don’t worry, outdoor menswear will not be our focus. This is The Shoe Dish, after all. We’ll also be featuring menswear that Bruno would be proud too!
