Last Thursday, New York Fashion Week kicked off in Manhattan and as the new clothes and trends flow for Spring 2010, so too do the shoes. After his appearance at a Payless ShoeSource©

This weeks US Open wasn’t all about the tennis. In fact, Serena Williams outburst was the last thing on most fashionistas minds. In recent years the event has drawn attention from fashionistas and trendsetters alike for the unique uniforms worn by players, but this year, all eyes were on the shoes of spectators and guests. While shoedish is overjoyed and ecstatic to be back in New York, there are several things we’re getting used to all over again. As we previously mentioned, we’re having issues remembering how to walk 20 blocks in heels. It never hurt before! The most recent slap in the face, however, came in the form of the classic New York rain storm; the one that blows up and around like a cyclone so that no umbrella or rain coat will protect you from a soaking wet future. Well, shoedish got caught in one such wretched rain storm, which soaked us straight through, jeans, jackets, and all. Light-bulb, ding! It’s time to start thinking about galoshes and rain boots again; we imagine this won’t be our last wicked rain storm moment!
The original Hunter rain boot. The Hunter - Hunter Original (Yellow) - Footwear
is available at Zappos.com for $114.95.

Shearling-lined from Tretorn. The Women's shoes/bags: Tretorn Skerry Vinter Sh - Olive/ocean depths
is available at Piperlime for $60.

An abstract flower pattern from Western Chief. The Western Chief Women’s Corina Rain Boot
is available at endless.com for $39.95.
