dyeable wedding heels from david’s bridal

dyeables.png

Once reserved for matronly slides and boxy pumps and available in a minimal list of shades, like black, red, bone, blue and pink, the dyeable shoe has come a long way. Now available in trendy styles and designs - from mary jane stilettos to peep-toe slingbacks - you truly can have the wedding shoe of your dreams. Take the ‘Mackenzie’ from David’s Bridal, for instance. This pretty peep-toe slingback is reminiscent of the Manolo Blahnik shoes that Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City lost in the episode “A Woman’s Right to Shoes”. A gathered vamp is phantom-held by a simple heart brooch and the hidden platform makes them comfy without losing that leg-appealing height. Even t-strap wedges, like the ‘Willow’, can be matched to perfection! Dyeable shoes give you limitless options for color and style and with the advancements in color options you can create a shoe that perfectly matches or complements the colors of your special day. Check out the entire collection of dyeable shoes at David’s Bridal online.

alice + olivia for payless

alice-olivia-2.png

alice + olivia was among those designers previewing their Spring ’10 collection at New York Fashion Week. At a special presentation, designer Stacey Bendet’s, showed off her special collection for Payless ShoeSource©, a collection which is inspired by the Plastiscines, a French all-girl band. The band’s mix of indie rock and Parisian chic is evident in the shoes, which evoke a strong interplay of structure and sexiness. Silhouettes include a platform pump, tall slouchy boot, gladiator-style flat sandal, and platform heel. Actress Mena Survai is a fan! She attended the event wearing the AOP- BLK ROBERTSON JEWELED BOOT-S3_8.5 from the Fall ‘09 collection, available for purchase now at select Payless ShoeSource© stores and on Payless.com. The Spring ’10 collection is expected in Payless stores next February.

shoe storage: clear shoe boxes

Originally uploaded by shoedish

Shoedish is back on her shoe box kick. It’s every girl’s dream to have THAT closet - the walk-in closet that’s as big as an Upper East Side studio, the kind of closet that looks like a museum devoted to fashion with shoes and handbags back-lit like an art studio, the kind of closet where all your shoes fit without being crammed into corner crevices, under beds, and even in unused kitchen appliances. Yes, a girl can dream. Well, shoe boxes are a great way to maximize storage space in small spaces. Think about how many boxes you can stack in your closet as opposed to a single layer of shoes. Plus, shoe boxes will add years to the life of your shoes, especially when you must cram them under beds, behind doors, and in ovens. Here’s a few of our favorite shoe boxes, from rudimentary top-open boxes to the more modern drop-front boxes.

The Camilla Skovgaard London Women’s A9008 Sandal is a sock sandal on crack! Complete with a sexy lace-up heel and needle-thin stiletto heel, these heels prove why Camilla was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Scholar Award in 2007. be & d makes a gossip girl debut

Did everyone catch the first episode of the new season of Gossip Girl last night? Well, if you missed it, we have pictures! Well, one picture, really because it’s the one that fits our story. In this photo, Nate’s new love interest, Bree, is carrying the Be & D Cosette Satchel. Sources tell us that the same Be & D bag will be carried by Serena in a later episode. Swapping bags doesn’t seem to be the “cool” thing to do for this Upper East Side gang of over-sexed private school teenagers, but who are we to judge. Be & D’s Cosette Satchel is available at Be & D online for $895.
