Here’s what happens when a quirky design team from Iceland join forces with a production base in Spain. Introducing pure shoe perfection from Kron by Kronkron who showed for the first time at London Fashion Week. Shoedish was swept away by the reinterpreted styles that walked the catwalk, especially this funky red number that brought all the menswear for women trends together in one nifty little package. The Reykjavik, Iceland-based brand is sure to make a few more debut splashes this season with their Spanish-made women’s label and shoedish will be watching. The North Face

Everyone is always getting their panties in a bunch over the health issues of the prolonged wearing of stilettos, so you can imagine our surprise when we read that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was suing The North Face, a popular outdoor and multi-sport product provider for $1 million in penalties. The EPA cited unsubstantiated claims about the antimicrobial properties of certain footbeds used in The North face footwear line. According to the EPA, handtags on over 25 styles read: “Agion antimicrobial silver agent inhibits the growth of disease-causing bacteria.” The North Face claims that the Agion technology was correctly used, but the EPA said in a statement: “The EPA maintains that The North Face made unsubstantiated public health claims regarding unregistered products and their ability to control germs and pathogens — a violation of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act.” Bottom line? Product is safe, legal wording of product label is, however, an issue. Shoedish is bored.
