an argument in favor of ugg boots…alas
Two of our very good friends are getting Ugg Australia boots this holiday season in order to weather the cold winter months. Our friend H was actually afraid to tell us of her plans out of fear we’d shun her from our shoe loving lives. We haven’t always been nice to the Ugg community, but most of that loud ranting stemmed from the shearling boots mass appeal as a “trendy” footwear option. The classic Ugg boot is a great boot for withstanding cold winters and keeping warm when almost nothing else will do it, but they should not be worn bare-legged in the middle of a snow storm. No matter how many celebrities and trend whores try to convince you otherwise, these boots just aren’t cute. They’re super comfy and will keep you warm, though, so if that’s you’re goal, we support you wholeheartedly. That said, Ugg Australia has a slew of more fashionable shearling boots. The Classic Argyle Knit Fig (pictured at right) is a great option for the anti-Ugger. These ones are almost attractive.
