Shoedish has been ranting and raving about all the new booties for fall and the colorful brights that come along with it. We’ve also been featuring a ton of fall-trendy styles, including a couple styles from the new Topshop Wonderland Collection, so when we saw these funky brights from the London fashion purveyor we thought, now that is an irresistibly trendy fall bootie. These playful and colorful peep-toe booties remind us of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb, falling through the looking glass, a cheshire cat, and a very merry unbirthday. Here’s something new and different from Aldo. “Love for Life” bracelets, which are silver, gold, and rubber cuff bracelets designed by children of the Rebero Orphan Center of Rwanda, will be sold at Aldo stores throughout September to help bring awareness and fight AIDS. The Aldo Fights AIDS Initiative has been committed to the fights against AIDS since the mid-80s and this new program aims to up the ante. All proceeds from the $5 bracelets will go to YouthAIDS, an HIV/AIDS education and prevention program. “We believe that it is everyone’s ethical responsibility to get involved and make a difference,” said Aldo Bensadoun, founder and CEO of Aldo, in a statement yesterday. The Rebero Orphan Center cares for children who have lost one or both parents in the Rwandan genocide or to AIDS. Since 2005 Aldo has raised over 3 million for the fight against AIDS.

Chadwick’s is channeling the shoe Gods and creating masterful knockoffs of the coveted peep-toe diagonal-strap stiletto from last seasons Giuseppe Zanotti collection. This style was a favorite of many celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Tyra Banks and these affordable copycats from Chadwick’s cue in the suede style of the upcoming season to keep this version right on trend. Our good friend and lover of The Shoe Dish, Pumpkin, told us the other day that she bought a pair of purple jeans. When we asked her where she got them she asked us not to laugh and divulged her dirty little secret. “Delia’s,” she said. “Hmmm…why would I laugh?” “Because Delia’s is like a store for teenagers.” “Yeah, maybe, but we shop there too.” Hey, there’s nothing wrong with buying trendy duds on the cheap. How many of you venture into Forever 21 and look around nervously as you sneak from rack to rack? Don’t be ashamed; wear you’re proud sale finds on your feet. There’s nothing better than a knockoff Chloe dress that will be out of season in two months or a $2 gently-used cashmere sweater from your local thrift store. Shoedish loves a good discount. Take these Ugg-like winter boots from Delia’s, for example. These are cuter than any of the Uggs we’ve seen floating around this season and they’re a mere fraction of the price. Wear with caution; shoedish still doesn’t condone these boots in summer or even worse, in winter with mini skirts and bare legs.

We’ve mentioned several times how impressed we are with Jessica Simpson’s shoe collection. We won’t give her too much credit, though, because she clearly has some clever people in her camp. None-the-less, these pretty peep-toe spectators are a bronze medal in our book. Blanketed in a metallic sheen and with a mock lace-up front for slip-on ease, these peep-toe stilettos are a fall fashion must. The best part about these trendy booties is that they’re currently on sale at Macy’s, so get them while they last.

While shoedish was living in Spain we wore straight through our comfort house slippers. They were just a cheap pair of standard red slippers with a furry inside, but we loved them! Since our return to the states we’ve been in search of a new pair of comfort shoes with a new stipulation, they must be able to withstand an occasional outside walk. Low and behold, we found our new slipper shoe. These yummy soft suede slippers from L.L. Bean were just what we were looking for and can be worn outside!!! Yay! The best part is that we bought them in store, during a sale, so they were 20% off. Oh, and they’re green. Double plus! Holla!

The lazy days of summer are coming to an end and as we say our farewells to our blessed sun kissed skin, we must too welcome the positive elements of fall as well. Here’s our list of fall pros. Stella McCartney is making us tremendously excited for winter with her new collection of sweater shaft boots and booties. These mid-calf ankle boots look fantastic when you roll the sock down to create a comfy bootie, but we’re focussing all our attention on the knee-high sweater shaft of picture 2. LOVE IT!!!
