floral slouch sandal booties from irregular choice

It’s been awhile since we posted anything from Irregular Choice, but we couldn’t help ourselves when we stumbled across these. They’re so outrageous that we’re not sure if we LOVE them or are just in shock. Whatever it is, they certainly got our attention and we imagine they’ll get the same reaction from you and yours. A slouchy floral print shaft meets a platform open-toe sandal to create these modern flower child bootie sandals. Featuring adjustable straps at the top shaft and vamp and a hidden platform, these floral slouch booties are the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe and as an added bonus they’ll wear you right into next fall. Available at Free People for $248.

clogs from swedish hasbeens

Love it or hate it, the clog in all its modern flare and funk is back. This will be a big trend for Spring, so be prepared to see a lot more from this Nordic fashion style. Clogs are an iconic form of footwear and Spring 2010 is going to see it explode as a real fashion trend. One of our favorite clog designers, Swedish Hasbeens, has a whole lineup of great looking clog styles, from the reinterpreted bootie - swedish hasbeens Women’s 465 High Heeled Jodhpurs Boot style to the traditional slip-on style - swedish hasbeens Women’s Slip In Super High Clog. clog collective: spring ‘10 collection from sanita

Here is something new and exciting for all you casual shoe lovers. The classic clog has been transformed thanks to Danish clogmaker, Sanita, because who better to reinvent a classic clog than the Dutch! Taking its cue from retro designs, the spring ‘10 collection from Sanita is channeling the 70s flower child and several other novelty looks that span the decades. The iconic brand is blasting its uppers with color, texture, and prints, while the wooden clog bottom is staying true not only to its neutral look, but its anatomically correct design that makes clogs the ultimate comfort shoe. The brand will also be reintroducing a chunky, wooden heel from the 1970s! Available in select retail stores, like Tip Top Shoes in New York, the collection will range from $120 and $145.

fitflop gets a facelift

So, admittedly, we weren’t huge fans of the original FitFlop when the first collection hit the scenes. We’re all about fashionable comfort footwear from time to time, and we’re even beginning to sway when it comes to footwear that doubles as athletic aid, but we wouldn’t be swayed to like an ugly shoe, unless it could also cure cancer. However, the FitFlop has a whole new range of shoes that we can actually get behind. The FitFlop Women’s Gogh II Clog, for example, is a casual comfort shoe we might use as a commuter or casual weekend shoe. The very popular slip-on clog style comes with a fun, featherweight, ultra-felt textile upper and faux-fur lining and is complete with FitFlops famous Microwobbleboard™ muscle-toning midsole. Available at endless.com for $69.95.

weboo: 3-d kid’s shoes

Originally uploaded by shoedish

Now here’s a fun new collection of shoes for kid’s. Weboo, a collection of 3-D footwear, uses the draw of children’s toys to design their outrageously gaudy children’s shoe collection, which feature a 3-D range of colorful characters that literally come alive aboard a child’s foot. The shoes also allow kid’s to interact with their favorite character via the web. Weboo.com has an interactive Q&A section, as well as character biographies, and more. While style is an obvious focus for the new line of kid’s and infant shoes, the brand doesn’t slack on design either. Featuring a WeFit System, flexible outsoles, arch supports, and dry fit sock inserts for closed-toe styles, the Weboo is the creme de la creme of kid’s shoes. The collection includes sea creatures, like the Weboo Kids - Weboo Sandal (Toddler/Youth) (Green) - Footwear (above right), dinosaurs - Weboo Kids - Dinosaur (Toddler/Youth) (Chompers/Green) - Footwear and even puppy’s - Weboo Kids - Puppy (Toddler/Youth) (Bubbles/Pink) - Footwear and retail for $35 to $45.

a crocs tail continued…

Crocs Mammoth - Red/Oatmeal

Shoedish just recently bought her fisrt pair of Crocs, but were we too late to save them? As we predicted - and were shunned for by Croc-supporters - the brand would not last, let alone survive its massive growth. Concerns around the liquidity of the company were rampant this summer and though the Crocs brand is still kicking and screaming its way to survival - a new asset-backed credit facility was just signed, providing for $30 million in revolving loans - we’re still not sure they’ll make it. “This new asset-backed credit facility provides us with additional liquidity and flexibility as we continue to invest in our strategic initiatives and facilitate the company’s turnaround,” Crocs CFO Russ Hammer said in a statement. We hate to see another large American company bite the dust, especially with all the jobs they’ve provided, but we just have to say…told you so. Yeah, we’re that small. Get the winter-friendly, Crocs Mammoth - Red/Oatmeal for $40 at Shoebuy.com.
