Kate Spade just might be the master of merging design concepts. On the one hand you have these beautifully structured sophisticated shoe designs and on the other you have a coupling of trendy features. It’s a match made in synergetic and versatile shoe heaven. These pretty capped-toe mary janes from the master designer are the kind of shoe that you and your daughter or you and your mom could both wear seamlessly. Sophisticated and cute; classic and trendy! These mary janes were made for a lady and a vixen. The Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde of shoes…er, in a good way. Available at Saks for $328.

Stella McCartney is making us tremendously excited for winter with her new collection of sweater shaft boots and booties. These mid-calf ankle boots look fantastic when you roll the sock down to create a comfy bootie, but we’re focussing all our attention on the knee-high sweater shaft of picture 2. LOVE IT!!! Both boots have been added to our growing list of ‘Want It’ boots for fall and receive a coveted six stiletto salute. Stella McCartney is the famous designer behind the animal-friendly line of couture and high street designs and her shoes are not only a favorite of veggies and activists but every fashionista, trendsetter, and style conscious consumer in the world.

All this talk about Back to School has shoedish whirling. Shoedish, herself, is in fact hitting the books this fall and we’re so excited that we’re shaking in our spectators. Shoedish is not only a shoe nerd, but we’re a book nerd as well. We’ll be donning our thinking caps as we spend days deep in the paper morgue and university library, but that doesn’t mean we’ll trade our stilettos for penny loafers, unless of course they’re stiletto penny loafers. Keeping stride with the Back to School theme, we present these pretty peep-toe lace-up oxford booties from Hollywould. This is one of shoedish’s favorite looks for fall. It’s the perfect head mistress look for our fall wardrobe.

A few weekends back my girlfriend was telling me a story that she would share only after mentioning that what she was about to tell me might be too much information. It’s rare for my friends to preface their divulging with a TMI tag - it’s rather difficult to over share with shoedish - but society and nature have us all walking around with tape over our mouths. The Shoe Dish despises censorship, whether it have to do with the things that we say or the clothes that we chose to wear. Take for example these glitzy and ritzy wild on pumps, platforms, and t-straps from Christian Dior’s fall collection. If the fashion police had their way, they’d be blocking this shoe from all sides, sending threats, imposing fines, and generally making sad arguments as to why they should be banned from the feet of thousands of women who just happen to love them. Maybe it’s time for us to over share just a bit. Come on, shoedish fully supports all your dirty little secrets…
